Our roots
After the war, Walter Pleibel bought his first Leo.
1960 came his first stud dog "Bari v. Wissberg".
1964 Walter kept a son of "Bari" named "Elmar v. Tuttlingen".
1965 another son "Barko v. d. Flattichlinde" was kept.
Up to this time he was content with exhibitions and stud dog possession.
Often his wife was home alone with her four children. She always felt safe when Bari was doing his rounds at night and every bedroom was running and checking to see if everything was "in the right".
In 1967 Walter visited the breeder Mr. Kaufmann (Zwinger v. Tuttlingen) with his whole family.
One of his three daughters, named Rita, annoyed him so much to buy a bitch. - With success

Gretel v. Tuttlingen moved in with them.
Gretel was immediately Rita's girlfriend. She always had an ear for "her worries".
After it turned out that she was also a champion, I, Rita Pleibel, started breeding in 1969 together with my father's experience.
Our goal was to breed bone-strong dogs with strong pigments.
Also the cuddly nature with protective instinct lay in the first place in our breeding.
Our dogs became known all over the world.

Due to age and professional reasons the breeding activity was paused.
The intensive attention to the Leonberger dogs on
I kept exhibitions at home and abroad also after the death of my father.
In 2000 I moved together with my husband and our son.
A long-awaited wish to resume breeding came true.
The search for a Leonberger bitch began, of course as far as possible with our "old blood".
After a long search "Lucky" moved in with us in 2007.
